Custom software, shipped clean.
The long practice is payments: gateways, certification, and systems that already move money. Websites and custom software are the same desk, for a corporate team, a small company, or an individual whose product never has to touch a card.
Taking select engagements
-
01
Websites
A corporate site or a small-company site, designed and launched without a committee and a six-month theme. Clear type, a fast page, and a way for a customer to call, text, or write.
-
02
Custom software
The product the site is sitting on. Scheduling, customer tools, internal platforms, and AI-driven agentic software development, from the first sketch through production. A recent one was a scheduling and engagement platform, designed and put into production on AWS.
-
03
Payments platforms
The long practice, for companies that already move card payments. Gateways, processor certification, acquiring and ISO integrations, and migrations. A product that never touches a card starts under websites or custom software.
How an engagement runs
-
01
Listen.
One working session on the actual problem. What has to ship, what must not break, and who decides.
-
02
Build.
You see the software while it is being made. Short cycles. No slide deck standing in for a product.
-
03
Hand over.
It is in production, the people who will run it can run it, and the engagement ends on purpose.
Websites and custom software
Payment processing is for corporations that already move money. A small company or an individual who needs to be found starts with a presence.
The presence is a website: readable on a phone, with a way to call, text, or write. Custom software is built when that business needs more than a page, including AI-driven agentic software development, from the first sketch through production.
Payments record
-
99.99%
uptime on a gateway at millions of transactions a month
-
5
processors taken through PCI DSS and EMV: Global Payments, Fiserv, TSYS, FIS, Chase
-
2
hospitality names on an Oracle certification: Carnival, Margaritaville
-
2,000
transactions a second, after the platform was opened across five countries
These numbers are from corporate payment platforms that launched and are still supporting production processing.
Principal
Todd Paynter designs the software and stays through launch.
Since 2013 the long practice has been payments: gateway architecture, acquiring and ISO integrations, and the engineering groups that ship them, in the United States, Singapore, India, and Argentina. Engagements are remote and few. A website or a custom product that never touches a card is a normal one. A certification or a migration is the engagement when that is the job.
